Glacial Oceanic Clay is 100% pure and natural. Mineral rich content (over 70 different minerals) scientifically classifies this clay as inorganic, so technically the term organic does not apply. However, Ironwood Clay is certified by Quality Assurance International (QAI) as an Organic Handler (NSF/ANSI 305 processor) and producer of personal care products labeled as: contains organic ingredients.

What makes your clay so unique?
Unlike all the other cosmetic clays, Glacial Oceanic Clay is sourced intertidally from pristine, isolated areas along northern British Columbia’s coastline. This region remains untainted by humans and industry. It is superior in purity, composition and functionalities.
What is the MOQ?
This depends on the formula and product, but typical run size is between 8,000 to 10,000 units and we have in-house capabilities for larger runs.
What is the shelf life of your products?
Usually from 2 to 5 years.
Can Ironwood Clay formulate and manufacture NPN products?
Yes, we are in full compliance with regulatory standards to manufacture Natural Health Products, and have formulated, registered and manufactured various NPNs, such as sunscreens and anti-acne products.
Are you the only company who has all required approvals to harvest this clay intertidally in BC?
Ironwood is the only company who holds both Mineral Titles (tenures) and Quarrying Permits (these permits are endorsed by 9 different government agencies Federal and Provincial). This have Ironwood being the only company fully licensed and permitted to harvest this clay intertidally.
